Hello Cohousers! Pass the word!

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter (MAC) of The Cohousing Network is sponsoring a day
of workshops on Sunday, September 8, at Blueberry Hill in Vienna, Virginia.
You are invited to attend.

The program is divided into two 4-hour workshops beginning at 10AM and
3:30PM, with an hour and a half for lunch and visiting in between. You are
welcome to participate in either or both workshops.

Laird Schaub will be our trainer. Laird has been living in intentional
communities for nearly 30 years and has been providing training in
facilitation and consensus process for 15 years. Laird has received
outstanding recommendations from our colleagues at Liberty Village Cohousing,
who attest that his work with them helped to transform their meeting process.

Please join us!

WORKSHOPS FOR BETTER MEETING PROCESS
WITH LAIRD SCHAUB
sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Chapter (MAC) of The Cohousing Network (TCN) at
Blueberry Hill Cohousing in Vienna, Virginia

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2002
10:00 am-2:00 pm Workshop #1
2:00 pm-3:30 pm Lunch (bring your own or eat out)
3:30 pm-7:30 pm Workshop #2

WORKSHOP TOPICS
Workshop topics are yet to be determined, but may focus on
questions such as the following. These will be explored
using "real life" issues from different communities so the
workshops can serve as on-the-job training.

-- How can we welcome the emotional, intuitive, and
spiritual and help people get beyond their mistrust of these
to use that energy to help solve problems?

-- What can we do to help people get beyond their positions
to their underlying interests and turn conflict into
creative problem solving?

-- How can we concretely resolve concerns expressed about a
proposal in the setting of the large group meeting?

-- When is it best to delegate an issue to a team and when
is it best for the large group to take it on?
