Is anyone looking for a site near Seattle? There is a working dairy farm whose owners are looking for a buyer who will maintain the site as a dairy farm. I don't have the exact address (or much real info either -- this is from my dad who lives a few blocks away) but it's across the street from Bothell High School. It's a little way from the Burke-Gilman trail, and from there it's about 15 miles into Seattle.
According to my dad, the owners have been trying to sell the property to the city or the county, in hopes that it will be a public park. They haven't had any luck, though, as budgets have been slashed throughout the region. He thinks they are asking $6 - $10 million if the site will continue to be a dairy, but that they could get as much as $30 million from a developer.
It would be great to see this site utilized for cohousing! If anyone ends up checking this out, please email me or the list.
