Social sustainability figures

South Warwickshire Cohousing group is seeking to develop a cohousing
project in or around Leamington Spa/ Warwick, England. We are in the
recruitment and education stage of the project.

Because land is so scarce here and planning rigidly controlled we need to
be able to make a strong case for the environmental, social and financial
sustainability of the project. So I need to gather some hard facts - if
any exist, or anecdotal evidence otherwise. These will be used in
presentations to local MP, Councellors, Planners etc.

Can we get any numbers like this which prove that co-housing is a better
place to live?
e.g.
Social
Prevent X visits by social services
Prevent Y visits to local GP services.
Prevent Z local police actions.
Every year.

Environmental
Increase bio-diversity of soil on site by Z%.
Increase the number and species of birds on site by Y% or X.
Increase the number and species of mammals on site by W or V%.
Increase the number and species of trees and plants on site by U or T%.

Have there been any specific studies that measure these things ?

Many Thanks
Andrew
