Thanks to everyone for the tips! I did get my hands on the cohousing issue and was particularly interested in the article on Temescal's ecofund, and the several mentions of ground-source heat pumps. I'm very familiar with all the cost-tradeoff and do-the-free-stuff-first arguments and already had the intrinsic environmental benefits of cohousing in my talk. I just needed a couple of examples where (in spite of it all) people managed to incorporate environmental technology as well as the passive approaches, because of the audience at the Renewable Energy Fair.
