[Re: [C-L]_Colorado Springs Cohousing - 10 openings] One of our members did the conduit during construction. Working evenings and weekends, he trenched between each building, drilled a hole in the foundation, laid conduit, pulled cable through, and connected it to a wall box in each unit (all with the contractor's knowledge and permission). All the wires connect to a panel in the common house office. We've learned since, from experience with sprinkler installation, that $50 to rent a ditchwitch is an excellent investment (a ditchwitch is like a big chainsaw on wheels). Trenches that take weeks by hand can be done in a weekend with a ditchwitch. If you can get the architect to show the conduit locations in the drawings ("to be done by owner" or something) then you may be able to avoid the other problem we had (besides sore muscles & blisters, I mean), which was that in two places, after he laid the conduit, the contractor was trenching in the same area and broke it.
