I think that there is no *one* good way to pay for common meals. It must be
tailored to the community. This topic has been around for ages, and it seems
to be one of those areas where the wheel gets reinvented for every group.
I'm not saying this is a bad thing. It's just that cohousers aren't
cookie-cutter people, and neither are our communities. And meals are so
important to the community, I really think it's important for people to feel
comfortable with their own system. If this requires hashing out a whole new
way of doing it, then so be it.

In our community, we have an accountant who has a physical disability, so
it's perfect for her to do the meals and other accounting. Other communities
don't have this, so it would be cumbersome.
