At Tierra Nueva we have many variations of the "Go Away" sign such as: "Rachel is Napping" or "Reading Time" or "Family Hour". Mostly these signs are put up for the free-range children of the community who travel from home to home in search of play. There is very little need to put up signs for adults....we all lead busy full lives. When we do want to interact, we still call first before visiting. If someone needs time alone, it is easily accomplished. Private time is one of those 'before move-in' fears that many of us worried about. After living here five years, it is such a non-issue for me, BUT, my children are grown. If I had younger children there would be much more traffic in and out my door. Thus, the signs for the families that do have young children. PattyMara, Tierra Nueva, cen.
