Yes, but.... You need to examine yourself and decide what your community interaction places might be. As was noted in the thread about work participation, its a drag to have people who don't show up at all. We have a couple of renters like this, and it is annoying that they choose to live here, when they don't interact at all. They are strangers to almost everyone here, and it feels weird. So, you can live happily without going very far into relationships with other people, but its not a good thing not to have any. There is an expectation of socialiable built into choosing to live in a community. That expectation is not very demanding in some communities, more so in others, so you need to find the situation that fits you, and one that you fit.
