Hello, We are on the verge of forming an LLC with equity members. We also have a category of membership, " exploring members" who are not yet ready to become equity members. During general business meetings equity members have decision making power and exploring members have input but no decision making power. My question is about decision making on committees. Currently equity members and exploring members participate on committees. One option is having only equity members have decision making power at all levels, including on committees. Any feedback on that plan is most welcome. Thanks, Laura Laura Shapiro, Ph.D. Faculty member: Lesley University and Goddard College Director, Art Works: www.artworksgroup.com Offering workshops, trainings, retreats, and residencies for schools, businesses, corporations, community groups and non-profit organizations. Principles: 1. Everyone can make art. 2. Everyone has a right to tell their stories and have their voices heard. 3. We have the power to make change. 4. We can support each other in creating equity and justice in our communities.
