There are several cohousings in the Triangle area. The cost of houses in ours, for example, are lower than the average in the surrounding neighborhoods. And the cost here includes a lot of additional common facilities such as Meeting house, common land and garden. So while some are quite expensive, many are trying hard to be affordable. Life intervened, so I had to give up on exploring cohousing and muddle on in the crush of a "mundane" lifestyle. Will I find affordable opportunities if I start looking into this option again? Carol.
