There is this cohousing idea that says since you have the common house
you need far less space in your unit.
In my visits and travels to various communities have not seen this idea born out. Yes, you no longer need a spare bedroom because you have a guest room in the CH but if you are going to have four friends over for dinner then you need a Living/dinning room big enough to seat six.
If there are two floors then there are two baths.Does the master bedroom in a 3 bedroom have a bath of its own? Big enough for two? How big is a closet?
We are trying to determine the best size for our units. There are two ideas.
1 bedroom @ 800 2 bedroom @1200 3 bedroom @ 1600 no four bedrooms or 1 bedroom @ 690 2 bedroom @1000 3 bedroom @ 1200 4 bedroom @1430So what say you? How big is your unit? How many live in it and are you happy with the size?
