Ann Zabaldo kindly posted an early description of our June 3 event in the vicinity of West Chester, PA. Unfortunately, there are major expenses involved on our part, so ours is not a free event. An updated description follows: SATURDAY, JUNE 3rd Concord Village and Altair Cohousing, both of Chester County, PA, announce a special event: Living Green in Cohousing Featuring: --Liz Walker of EcoVillage at Ithaca and author of "EcoVillage at Ithaca: Pioneering a Sustainable Culture." --Jerry Weisburd, architect and member of the Design-Build team for the first cohousing community at EcoVillage of Ithaca. --Joel Bartlett, architect, Bill Waddington, civil engineer, Howard Porter, affordable housing developer, and Tom Bath, builder, in a panel discussion of the opportunities and challenges in building cohousing in southern Pennsylvania. --A panel of people who currently live in cohousing from Mid-Atlantic Cohousing. The morning session will include talks by Liz Walker, Jerry Weisburd, and the panel of cohousers. A catered lunch will follow, with live music and a chance to network. The afternoon session will also feature the presenters but will be more in depth. The content in the afternoon will be chosen in part by all the workshop participants. The cost is $20 for the morning session, $25 for the afternoon, and $15 for a catered, organic, lunch using locally grown produce. If registration with payment is received by May 27, participants receive a $5 discount for each session (not lunch.)
