Amelia apparently felt criticized by the "A new record!" post but
I saw no excessive quoting in her posts in the archives.

There are plenty of posts that quote more than needed tho.

Digest subscriber have to sort thru quotes to find new material
regularly...
(Unless they search for "Message:" or "age:" see section of FAQ
mentioned below)

But Amelia did have a good point that new subscribers should be advised
about expectations for posting.  So I have adjusted the welcome email sent
to new subscribers to include:

 Posting policies and advice (and other topics) can be found at
 http://justcomm.org/jc-faq.htm

 Please pay special attention to suggestions related to quoting when
 replying.

I also edited the FAQ a bit and divided the questions into groups
including "Posting policies and advice".  There's a lot more work that
could be done on the FAQ... someday.
