Island Park Cohousing, a new retrofit  cohousing community for people of
all ages whose land is 10 minutes from downtown Minneapolis, MN, is holding
an Open House to walk on the property and view a model home this weekend,
Sat. Dec. 2 and Sun., Dec. 3  from 12 noon - 3 PM at 151 Island Park Dr. #2
in Fridley.  In addition, the group will hold a free Informational Meeting
next Sat. Dec. 9 from 10 am-11:15 am at the  Michael Servetus Unitarian
Society, 6565 Oakley Drive NE in Fridley, with a site tour immediately
following.  The property, which is bordered by Islands of Peace Park and
the Mississippi River,  includes existing  apartment buildings which will
be converted into three buildings of condominiums for collaborative housing
and a shared Common House for community meals, classes and social events.
