Cohousing-L Mailing List: Affordable housing

We are forming a senior cohousing community in Chapel Hill-Carrboro, NC and
I am wondering how other cohousing communities have managed to build
"affordable housing" as some percentage of their units.  How did you manage
that financially?  (i.e. did the other households subsidize the "affordable"
units, and if so, how was that calculated/done?).  Any information will be
much appreciated.
