Ken,It is very impressive. I enjoyed the references to Harry Potter and Lord of The Rings, as well as Xena.
I want to point out that I am partially red-green color blind and it was hard for me to make out some of the items within the calendar and in the key against the background.
Have a super weekend! Ken Lewis wrote:
Hi again, It's been about two weeks since I rolled out the demo. There've been nearly 100 logins, which is encouraging. If you have any feedback I'd love to hear from you. Also, if you were confused by the system I'd be happy to walk you through it by phone. From walking somebody else through it I noticed how much it helped the person to have questions answered as they came up. One thing I noticed is that no one completed the process of "locking" a meal. That's the process, once a meal is in the past, of entering how much cooks spent on the meal and clicking the "Finished" button. When that has been done, an "(L)" shows up for that meal on the calendar. Again, I'm happy to walk people through it. Here's the link again and a login user: http://www.stikineriverrat.com/mealtrakdemo/ User: wilma Password: demo I look forward to hearing from folks. The names have been changed to protect the innocent, etc. Feel free to add, edit, delete to your heart's content since now it's just demo data. LOGGING IN: For logging in, I'll start by giving you a handful of names here. However, as you'll see below you can log in with any first name that's in the demo. Davies, Zena Doe, Jane Doe, John Eller, Wilma Eller, George Pendergast, Luke User Name: simply use the first name (e.g., jane) Password: demo (same for all users) TIPS: - There's a legend below the calendar. Use this to understand the colors and symbols used in the calendar. - The Working Assumptions link (also below the calendar) is helpful. REPORTS: The most important report is Cumulative Balances below the Log Out button. This is where you can track where each household stands in terms of their balance. Negative numbers mean that a household owes money. LOCKING MEALS: Locking a meal is how credits and debits are applied to cooks and diners, respectively. You can lock a meal once it is in the past. Click on any of the past meals in August to see how this works. Note: there's a button on the cook costs screen that allows you to change the sign up sheet. This is helpful for last minute changes and signups. TIME TO STOP TYPING: Ok, that's enough from me for now. Let me know f you have any questions!
