Two exciting Cohousing events in Charlottesville, VA this week

 This week in Charlottesville, Virginia on Thursday and Friday (Oct 18-19) :

On Thursday, at 6:30pm to 7:30pm, the Charlottesville Community Design Center 
at 101 E. Main Street on the Downtown Mall will be hosting Zev Paiss to speak 
about cohousing.  Attendance is free.  Read more about Zev Paiss at

On Friday, the Jefferson Area Board of Aging will conduct an all day symposium 
on crafting intentional communities.  Noted cohousing
 speakers include Zev Paiss, but also include Dene Peterson who is founder of 
ElderSpirit, and Janaka Casper, who is founder and CEO of Community Housing 
Partners (CHPC).  CHPC is the nonprofit builder of hundreds of affordable and 
green homes in Virginia, including two cohousing neighborhoods and one in the

The Thursday event is sponsored by Blue Ridge Cohousing and the Charlottesville 
Community Design Center.  Blue Ridge Cohousing is rezoning for 26 homes on 6
