Hi Matt,

There are a large number (4 or 5) of cohousing communities in Western Massachusetts, along the Connecticut River in the Amherst area. Some of them have activists, architects, and other experts in the field of cohousing. Check them out (see the Massachusetts section in the list of cohousing communities on the Cohousing Web site).

        All the best!

Matt,
As far as I know there is no cohousing in brattleboro itself, however,
there are some in nearby villages and towns.

We, Caer Coburn, are located in Rockingham VT about 25 miles from
Brattleboro. Putney Commons in Putney VT is about 20 miles from
Brattleboro and 5 miles from us.
Sweet Pond Eco-Community is in Guilford Vermont. I don't know the
distance from Brattleboro as I hardly ever go there, but I pass Putney
all the time on my way to and from Brattleboro.

I would invite you to check us out, our web address is:

Has anyone tried to start cohousing in Brattleboro, VT? My wife and I have
visited it as a possible place to live and we want to live in cohousing. I am
trying to gather information to see if it is a likely place to build cohousing.
Any information that could be passed along would be much appreciated.
