I showed Naoko's message to people in Eastern Village in Silver Spring, MD
and I received the following response from one of our members named Joelle
N:


Sure -- well, I'd just say that groups like Progressive Neighbors and
Shomrei Adamah, in which EVCers are volunteers, and Co-op America, in
which EVCers are staff, have held events at our space hosted by our
neighbors.

I would like to add that one of the bulleted points in our mission statement
is "we engage responsibly with our neighborhood and the wider world. The
Progressive Neighbors that Joelle mentions have also held a series of
neighborhood events including meetings with local candidates for political
office. As well as neighborhood potlucks, open houses and tours.
