Re: Advertising available houses on this list

The for-sale listings help me see the vibrancy of the cohousing movement in a
more personal way.

Every summer, I give a talk and tour to prospective cohousers from all over the
country (at a Unitarian Universalist camp) and at least one of the attendees
has purchased a cohousing unit in another state. My knowledge of cohousing
from this listserve helped me steer them to that community.

I am not only a coho resident, but a member of a new community selling homes.
While we do have a marketplace ad, this enables us to reach an entirely
different group of folk. I would hope that the Cohousing Association would
help open doors for forming groups, not close them.

As a long time member of this list, I wish to say that I have
absolutely no objection
to people advertising coho houses for sale or rent on this list.
