Sharon asks how we keep kitchen dish towels white. Chlorine bleach
(yuck) is the most effective, and from time to time I bite the bullet
and put all the supposed-to-be-white dishrags, dishcloths, etc into a
hot bleachy load. Less toxic, and somewhat effective, are the Oxyclean
type of bleaches. I dump some in each wash load. And like I said, I
hide the flour sack dish cloths in a bin on the clean dish cart, so
they aren't handy when someone wants to wipe up the stove or other
greasy thing. Going with a color, as another noted, is another out.
