speaking for myself, I work at a hospital and often, surgical towels do not get used and we can take the unused ones home. great for spills and all kinds of cleaning. as for liquid soap,I recommend Dr Bronner's.

that the blue doesn't discolor easily.

I'm a little lost.  You get towels discarded after being used in
surgeries for your kitchen, so that you don't have to use bleach to
disinfect them?
