Hi All,

At midnight tonight, the registration price for the full 3-day 2011 National
Cohousing Conference (June 15-19 in Washington, DC) increases from $350 to
$400. Prices for most other portions of the conference similarly increase.

As you might imagine, given the many presenters and attention to this year's
conference from the union hoping to unionize workers at the hotel hosting
the conference, I am often asked "How is registration going?"

Unfortunately, it really depends on exactly what is being compared - some of
our registration counts are going really well and others, less so. At this
point, the total registration count is slightly ahead of forecast. Most
important (from a financial perspective) are the registrations for the full,
3-day conference (which costs $350 today, and $400 tomorrow). About 10
months ago, Conference Chair, Lisa Poley, and I used registration data from
the 2009 & 2010 conferences to make forecasts for this year's registration
counts.

Our FORECAST (for end of the Early Bird pricing) was 50 registrations. The
ACTUAL count (right now) is 66 (32% higher than forecast). More registered
for the package deal (3-Day Conference and Cohousing University), which will
increase tonight from $500 to $600.

Full pricing and registration detail on the 10 different ways you can
participate are available here:

http://conference.cohousing.org/2011/register

Options range in price from $50 to $500 - we hope MANY people who are not
attending the conference will join us for the 2011 Fundraising Banquet:

If you come to the conference, you will save some money if you register
today - and - you will help everybody feel even better when answering the
question "How is registration going?"
