Hi all We are considering changing our policies with regard to rental units and would appreciate any guidance based on the experience/policies of other cohousing communities Specifically, for your community: 1) How are the rental units owned? Public agency, community, community resident, nonresident individual, other _________ ? 2) What policies do you have with regard to renters? 3) What, if any, specific reasons or goals do you have for providing rental houses? 4) Any advice for communities who are considering offering or allowing rentals? (FYI -- like many cohousing communities, our underlying legal structure is as a condominum, we are permitted as a planned residential development, and our local permit includes some restriction on rentals.) Thanks in advance for any thoughts, suggestions, etc. Rick Richart Keller, AICP Pioneer Valley Cohousing 120 Pulpit Hill Road #25 Amherst, MA 01002 413-835-0011 401 486-2677 (cell)
