Authoritarianism is central to bureaucracy; play is central to social behavior. How things "work" (or don't work) in co-housing is of great relevance to the future of community and fundamental freedom from control-freaks. I think the Tacoma had it worked out pretty well, but I may have the wrong group. Please educate me further about the first residents of your area. Didn't they have potlatches or something?

I think we are getting way off the subject of cohousing and how things work in cohousing.
