Thank you to everyone who replied to my request for feedback about a common house use proposal. I realized that I sent proposed rules but forgot to send proposed guidelines. The proposed guidelines follow: 1. Occasional reasonable use of laundry facilities by nonresident extended family (not necessarily genetically related) is OK. They must pay usual $ and are encouraged to participate in work days or some other work for community. 2. Requests to reserve c.h. for controversial events should be made at least one month in advance. 3. In general, events won't be refused for content. C.H. cluster should check with an expert in housing discrimination if considering refusing an event for content. 4. If most of the people at an event are non-cohos, event organizer is encouraged to ask for a $ donation. 5. Recurrent events (eg weekly meetings of outside organization) are generally not approved unless they are at a low impact time or space (i.e. during a week day or in kids' room after 8pm or teen's room at 9am). By the way, I found feedback about specific items more useful that general feedback. In either case, I would appreciate any feedback you might have about the proposed guidelines in addition to the proposed rules I sent previously. Thanks again, John Goldberg
