This is too cool ...

Hi all!

Yesterday, I attended a conference at the National Building Museum here in
Washington, DC. Former HUD secretary, Henry Cisneros, gave the keynote
address. It was for the advent of his newest book: Independent for Life:
Homes and Neighborhoods for an Aging America.

And in his keynote, when talking about other possible housing strategies, he
mentioned cohousing! So I just toodled right up to him, had him sign my copy
of the book and invited him to dinner at Takoma Village. He gave his card and
said he'd be "back east in May." So I'm going to invite him!

Cohousing is finally getting known at the upper, upper, upper levels in the
housing game.

Cisneros now has his own private company, City View. It's a real estate
development company w/ an interest in housing strategies.

I welcome your comments on my posting.

In the next day or so I'll have a review of the book itself on
cohousingblog.com. Welcome your comments there, too!

Too cool ...
