We are building a 24 household cohousing community in Gainesville, Florida
and plan to have a community pool. 

Would love to hear from other communities who have a pool about your
selection/construction process AND about your experience with long term
maintenance.

i.e.  has your community actually done the maintenance themselves or hired
professionals?  What water maintenance system did you choose and how has it
worked? Who has had a natural pool (would really like to hear from you.
What environmentally friendly materials, features do you have (solar water
heating?) Intelli Flo pumps or beyond? 

Did you have a design consultant or contractor you really liked?

We are considering built-in hot tub. Comments? 

We're an intergenerational community that includes at least 4 adult lap
swimmers, a buncha toddlers/young elementary kids and before we know it,
will have a buncha teens .

What are community rules for the pool. (And which ones did you come to
after painful experience?)
