In response to Philip Dowd's wondering....In a household that has more than
1 adult, sometimes cohousing is the best thing when at least one of the
pair is an introvert. In my case, I can get all of my social needs met by
popping over to the CH for: meals/discussions/games/book club/exercise etc.
and my husband (the introvert) waves cheerily from the depth of his reading
journal wishing me a lovely time. Prior to CH, I needed to get in the car
and go - which was much more difficult on my relationship.

Cohousing is a very good choice for families that have both introverts and
extroverts as members.

That said - there is little expectation of privacy in the common spaces of
our urban community. We don't have any fences between our postage-stamp
size yards that are commonly owned.
