Memories, Scrapbooks, Photos, etc.

I’m working on an article for Communities Magazine on the value of saving
things, having records of community happenings and people. It isn’t just about
the business side of things (Minutes, decision log, accounting, workshare
hours, etc) but also about what happened and who was there.

The lyrics to that special song composed for someone’s birthday. The ceiling
that fell in on the Board meeting while discussing fixing the ceiling. The day
a salamander showed up in the dining room. Whatever. Anything.

Saving things like this is creating memories that can be shared with new
members so you are creating their place in that history.

What things do you wish you had saved, or someone had saved, related to your
community?

What would be interesting to see again? Or to have to show a new member?
