I doubt if there is a standard but a warning — check the availability of service in your area. In DC, it cost $500 for a Hobart service person to even come out and look at ours and it took months to get attention. We were competing with all the restaurants which understandably (sort of) to precedence. Tons of service is available for the KitchenAid dishwashers and the site visit fee is less than $100 if any at all.
