Aside from all the best ways to conduct elections/selections and the qualities
of good team members, in cohousing the most crucial consideration is that you
have a limited number of people who will need to serve on 2-3 different teams
or take on 2-3 different responsibilities. You aren’t choosing from an
unlimited pile of resumes and won’t have the option of advertising for the
right person from outside.

It all comes down to this is us’uns and one or more of us will have to take
this one.

There has to be a place for everyone. How do you recognize and balance the
limited range of skills and interests available to the community? It takes time
to learn what jobs you need and to learn enough about each other to match
people up. Do your best but expect the team assignments to take time and for
people to move around.
