https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTikkwgt-Hk This 10-minute video popped up late last week in Google Alerts, and fellow regional cohousing movement leader Ann Zabaldo, of Mid-Atlantic Cohousing, has been after me to get it posted here. Here's what Cohousing Solutions wrote about it, for context: CoHousing Solutions President Katie McCamant is featured in a newly released short film called "Loneliness Is on the Rise. Are Closer Neighbors a Solution?," published on RetroReport.com (as well as ScientificAmerican.com!) "When we're living alone, and now more and more people are working remotely alone, we're not even brushing up against people anymore," Katie says at the opening of the video. >From there, the film poignantly highlights many important topics including the health threats of loneliness, how community has been removed from much of our culture, and how cohousing can help address this epidemic (among many other benefits!) The video was filmed back in October at Nevada City (CA) Cohousing (and at Katie's home).
