Quimper Village has a generator to keep some lights and the refrigerator in the Common House functioning in the event of an emergency. We have a propane tank for fueling the artificial logs in the CH fireplace for heat and CH cooktop. We have a 2000 gal tank of drinking water in a covered outdoor space. We also have emergency lights. We do not keep community emergency food supplies. We anticipate that by pooling food supplies from members’ home we could all eat well for several days. Members are encouraged to keep their own water supplies and emergency food. I keep mine in my garage. I also have an emergency bag with food, water, clothing and meds in my car. Carolyn > O > > 1.
