I am a member of the Songaia Cohousing Cooperative. We have 10.5 acres in Snohomish County, WA north and east of Seattle. We are in the process of planning 13 duplex housing units (one will be attached to the common house). I am part of a group which has been charged with coming up with an operating budget for our first year of operation when the houses are finished and we are moved in. I am asking for the wisdom of fellow cohousers in developing such a budget - what are the budget items we need to be considering and costing? I realize our costs will be different from yours, but any experience would be helpful.
