Jennii -

Glad to hear you're interested. The urban East Bay (Berkeley/Oakland/...)
has a few existing cohousing communities and some that are in construction.

Our group is East Bay Cohousing, a group that has been meeting for about a
year and is in the site-search stage. Unfortunately for your trip, we will
be doing a "Getting it Built" workshop with the Cohousing Company on Sun
2/27, so I won't be able to give you a tour.

We are hoping to make cohousing a reality here, but you're right - it is
expensive. Please contact us when you get closer to moving here.
