I think you should settle on a single brand and push that in all your communications. If you use two different brands, it's confusing and you'll waste time explaining the situation. If you are going to finally end up with the project name, you should probably make a conscious effort to rebrand yourselves, and all stick to the new name. IMO. YMMV.
