Re: meat at every meal or not

Sylvie,

We tend to be a laid-back group so the cooking team decides everything
... but there are guidelines:
   1) No peanuts ... ever ... One of the kids is deadly allergic to them
and still we have close calls. (As I grew up on PB&J, the universe
shifted for
me when I discover this allergy.)
   2) There are a # of other items that folks are allergic to, so listing
ingredients
      is a must.
   3) There is always an vegetarian option. How good this is depends on
the cooking
team. Sometimes the meal is heavy on the meat side, sometimes it
is completely
      vegetarian.
   4) Create a simple meal for the nonadventuresome kids. (Oh boy,
mac&cheese!)

Perhaps the most important guideline is that while food matters, one
needs to remember why we are eating together in the first place.

Perhaps it is easier since we average fewer meals than your community
(1.25 meals a week; every Tuesday and after bimonthly Sunday meeting) but
it works for us.

I hope this helps but as you noted, you will need to find your own path.
