Big article in the New York Times today about families in NY who stay in too 
small apartments for the sake of the children down the hall. The children play 
in the hallways and lobbies and parents switch off hosting playdates. 

This is the reverse of parents in the past decades who automatically moved to 
large spaces —even to the suburbs.
