While we celebrate lots at Capitol Hill Urban Cohousing, the ones that have been occurring this season are: Post-Thanksgiving leftover potluck (our only potluck of the year): everyone bring leftovers to share and we usually play board games. Dios de Los Muertos (Day of Dead Celebration)- acknowledging and celebrating those who have passed in our lives…celebrating with music, stories, and food. Halloween - costume parade and trick or treating in Bldg. Pumpkin carving the week or two before Halloween. Winter Solstice - lighting wish papers Tamalada - tamale making for Christmas dinners. Holiday Cookie exchange. Kimjang - annual Korean kimchee making (did it first time this year…will become an annual thing). (Early to late November, but also can occur in summertime). grace h. kim schemata workshop (sent via mobile messaging) 206.795.2470
