At Coho Ecovillage in Corvallis, OR one of our favorite celebrations is the
kindergarten graduation ceremony. Someone here wrote a beautiful song about
community being with you your whole life long, and we make a chain of
arches for the child to walk through while we sing the song. Always brings
tears.
The song has been rewritten for other transitions, as well, including when
someone passes away on campus, and we all gather on the path to see them
out.
There are other celebrations similar to what I'm reading here,and enjoying,
immensely.
