Hi Sharon ~ I'm glad you found my write-up on submetering useful (and even comprehensible). Your enthusiasm prompts me to finish writing the unfinished parts of it – I'll try to do that in the next few weeks. If it does get stored on the CoHoUS site (which would be a good idea, as it's presently on my own google-drive), please let me know and give me edit access, so I can update it there as needed. I think your question is whether reduced water bills (due to 20% less consumption) offsets the ~$50/unit/year cost of this system, right? I don't have time now to dig up the data, but I've put your Q as a comment into the doc, so I can address it when I do my next editing session. BTW, we recently made a change in our service provider, and one effect of that was to reduce our estimated costs to $40/unit/year. I've updated the doc accordingly. ~ Ken On Fri, Mar 25, 2022 at 10:38 AM Sharon Villines via Cohousing-L < cohousing-l [at] cohousing.org> wrote: > > On Mar 24, 2022, at 6:09 PM, Ken Winter <ken [at] sunward.org> wrote: > > > > At Sunward Cohousing we went over to using submeters for our water bills > > several years ago, and we're glad we did.
