Marty,
Like you, I'm part of a new forming group and am very interested in the nuts
and bolts aspects of making cohousing happen.  However, because I want the
emphasis of cohousing to be human community and not real estate community, I
find the philosophical discussions very interesting as well.

Also, it seems to me that some of the best nuts and bolts info comes from
those already living in cohousing.  If we only talked about how to build
cohousing, would they stick around?

I get the list in digest form which I think helps to manage the volume.  I
enjoy reading the latest digest each morning as if it were my morning
cohousing newspaper.  I like a higher volume of letters.  More good stuff to
choose from.

As far as the 3 or 4 people that do LOTS of posting, some of those people I
respect quite a bit and read everything they write and archive most of it. 
And then there's others that may get skimmed a bit more.
