Harrianne: It depends very much what stage you're at, what state you're in and most of all, a lot of details regarding the makeup of your group and what you're trying to accomplish. For a good start, see the summary of the session on this topic from the Seattle conference when it comes out (soon, I presume). There's also been some good discussion on this list in the past. Check the archives. From your address, I assume you're in California (for future reference, it's a good idea to identify your location and group when you put something up on the list). Tell me some more about your group and I can offer some more specific advice. David, Sacramento >I would be VERY interested in hearing out about various cohousing groups' >experiences with being classified as a (limited?) partnership vs. a >(non-profit?) corporation (s-corp, c-corp, etc.). The pluses? The minuses? >Is life any easier either way? And THANKS for your help! Harrianne
