Dear List: As an avid proponent of cohousing and a recent student of the Year 2000 computer problem, I see an incredible opportunity for cohousing communities to take the lead in community discussions about this upcoming challenge. Since none of us knows what will really happen when the clocks roll over to 1/1/2000 it seems prudent to begin a discussion in our communities. As part of the Boulder Y2K Preparedness Group we are encouraging neighbors to get to know one another in case problem do arrise. It seems that cohousing communities have the jump on that issue and can quickly gahter together to begin talks about what neighborhood preparations make sense. Your thoughts are encouraged.
