I think that people who have developed the habit of suppressing their emotions, are often not aware of the fact that their "rationality" is based on anything other than the use of logic and "cold, impartial" reason. It's easy to think, on the other hand, of times when each one of us is so overcome by emotions, so that everything else flys out the window...
