In my opinion, the place where I've seen non-cohousing experienced architects really miss the boat is with the commonhouse design. The good news is, usually it really doesn't matter in the end. If you look at 4-5 built examples, you can pretty much get a good product, and just about any architect worth their salt will do this. Certainly you will have group members who will.
