Cornerstone Cohousing (in Cambridge, Massachusetts with one townhouse and one apartment left for sale) has a challenging but hopefully not insurmountable problem. A standard kitchen cabinet depth, including ours is 25 inches. Today's standard energy efficient refrigerator depths are about 30 inches. Does anyone know of energy efficient refrigerators, that cost less than $1000 and are 25 or 26 inches deep. Sorry, the super energy efficient Sub-Zero refrigerator sound great but $4,300 is not within anyone's budget. We should have seen this one coming, but we didn't discover it until late in the game. About all kitchen cabinets are installed and about half of the apartments and townhouses are just about ready for move-in.
