What are the policies on seeing-eye dogs in the common house at other cohousing communities? We have had an interesting question come up as to what we would do if a blind member joined the group and needed to have a service dog. (I hear there are service PONIES now too!) We have already passed a pet policy that allows pets in private units but forbids them in the common areas. Have any other groups run into the problem of an owner needing a seeing-eye dog to get around inside the community and what have you done about it? --Diane Simpson, Jamaica Plain Cohousing, Boston Massachusetts Diane Simpson DSIMPSON [at] JPCOHOUSING.ORG http://jpcohousing.org P.O.Box 420,Boston, MA, USA 02130-0004 617-522-2209 INFORMATION SESSION SUNDAY MARCH 24 5:00 P.M. 82 GREEN STREET 1 BLOCK FROM GREEN STREET T STATION ON THE ORANGE LINE +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe and other info: http://www.communityforum.net/mailman/listinfo/cohousing-l
