Cheryl and Sharon, thanks for your responses.  I wish the answers were
clear, but they're not.  People disagree on lots of issues in this case.

Part of the problem is that we're still learning how to resolve
disagreements in the committees.  Therefore, the Process Committee is
working on recommending some revisions to the larger community.

Laird Schaub came this past February and gave us some excellent guidance
about how to make decisions as a community. We're still in the process of
incorporating that. Tree is coming this fall.  So for the long term, I
actually think we're slowly moving in the right direction.

Nnow I have one general question I'd like to ask now.

Most of what I read about  group facilitation seems to pertain to larger
groups and not committees.  I believe that in our community,  we need to pay
more attention to how the committees are working since that is where
relationships are getting strained. Because these groups are so much smaller
than the larger general meetings, they tend to be more informal which some
people really like.  Does anyone recommend any resources which address
questions about how committee members can best work together?
